€195–€395 per person for a 3-day shared group trip from Marrakech, €499–€695 for a 4–5-day private 4×4 tour, and €800+ for luxury camp upgrades. Prices include private transport, licensed driver-guide, camel trek, dinner and breakfast at the Sahara camp, and one to two overnight stays in Erg Chebbi or Erg Chigaga.

Yes. Marrakech to Merzouga is the classic 3-day route. Fes to Merzouga is shorter — 2 days minimum. Casablanca routes take 4–7 days because of the longer distance. We also run one-way Sahara crossings between Marrakech and Fes.

Erg Chebbi (Merzouga) has Morocco’s tallest dunes — up to 150 m — and is reached by paved road. Erg Chigaga (M’Hamid) is more remote, requires a 60 km off-road 4×4 drive, and is best for travelers who want fewer crowds.

Yes. Our partner camps in Erg Chebbi have private tents with real beds, en-suite bathrooms, hot showers, carpets, and 24-hour generator power until 11 PM. Dinner is a 4-course Berber meal followed by live Gnawa drumming.

Both. Group tours: max 8 travelers in a shared 4×4 minivan, from $180 / 3 days. Private tours: your own 4×4, driver, and guide — minimum 2 travelers, from $400 / 3 days. Same routes, different intimacy.

Light layers, fleece for cold nights, scarf for the sun, sunscreen SPF 50, closed-toe shoes for the camel trek, a power bank for the camp, and one small overnight bag (your main suitcase stays in the 4×4 or hotel).

The camel trek is optional. Travelers with knee, back, or balance issues can be driven to the camp by 4×4 — 20 minutes versus 60 minutes by camel. Many travelers ride a camel one way and drive back the next morning. No extra cost.

Yes — children aged 4 and up handle it well. We pace driving days for kids, install booster seats on request, and the camel trek is fine for confident children over 6. Most camps have family tents that sleep 4. We recommend the 4-day route over 3 days for families.
